The team

Ioana Szatmari is the manager of LBG Romania and of the Corporate Community Involvement Program at the Association for Community Relations. In the last seven years of working with ARC, Ioana has focused on national and regional CCI quantitative and qualitative research, LBG Romania development and management, on facilitating and building relationships between corporate and NGO partners, consulting on CCI strategy and mechanisms, as well as on CSR and CCI-related event planning.

Her corporate consulting portfolio includes in-house research on CCI, CCI mechanism development or CSR strategy improvement and implementing plan development. Some of the companies she has worked with are BRD Groupe Societe Generale, Lafarge Romania, Orange Romania, Raiffeisen Bank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Terapia Ranbaxy, etc.

Publications:

  • “The Way it Works” - regional report (Romania, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) co-ordinated by Ioana Szatmari, aimed at identifying the main areas of CCI action where Carpatica Foundation and its partners may develop community initiatives;

  • "Efficiency and Generosity – Four Corporate Community Involvement Methods", a working handbook on CCI mechanisms, co-editor;

  • "Corporate Community Involvement – Between Philanthropy and Social Responsibility", qualitative research on CCI practice in Romania, coordinator and co-editor;

Catalin Gheorghe is LBG Romania communications manager and consultant. In the last 15 years, Catalin has promoted and has actively supported community fundraising. He is also committed to building relationships between business and non-profit sectors. Holding a postgraduate degree in social development from North London University, Catalin participated in research conducted to observe Romanians’ philanthropic behavior and the field of CSR.

 

As part of ARC team, Catalin has provided CCI consulting services to companies such as: Lafarge, BRD Groupe Societe Generale, Orange, and The Royal Bank of Scotland.
